US ethanol inventories rise 2.5%, production down slightly - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories rose by 2.5% in the week ended 10 December while daily production fell slightly, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

Last week, ethanol stocks were at 16.7m bbl (701m gal). Meanwhile, daily production slid by 0.2% to 937,000 bbl/day, the government said.

US daily ethanol output in November averaged 887,000 bbl, up by 1.6% from 873,000 bbl/day in October.
