SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Methanol Company has delayed the turnaround of its 1.7m tonne/year methanol plant (Ar-razi 5) in Al Jubail, ?xml:namespace>
The plant was supposed to undergo a turnaround in mid January this year but the final shutdown date had not been fixed, a source at its parent firm SABIC said.
Prices were assessed $340-350/tonne (€262-270/tonne) CFR (cost and freight)
The company is a joint venture between SABIC (50%) and a Japanese consortium led by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company.
