Cereplast seals distribution deal with Euroink Romania

TORONTO (ICIS)--Cereplast has signed a distribution deal with Euroink Romania to supply it with Cereplast’s bioplastic resins, the US-based bioplastics firm said on Wednesday.

Cereplast said that Euroink Romania would use Cereplast's resins in masterbatch processes for the production of bags, garden furniture, household items and industrial parts, among other products, Cereplast said.

Euroink Romania is a producer of flexographic inks, solvents, and a distributor of raw materials, masterbatches and other products for the plastics and packaging industry.

“This partnership reflects Cereplast's aggressive growth strategy and continued commitment to expanding the company's distribution with local partners throughout Europe,” said CEO Frederic Scheer.

“Eastern Europe is an important geographic region for us as it serves as the continent's manufacturing hub,” he added.

Cereplast did not disclose the deal's financial terms.

Earlier this month, Cereplast opened a European headquarters facility in Germany to support its expansion.
