SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) is operating its three naphtha crackers at full rates, a company source said on Wednesday.
The crackers can jointly produce 2.93m tonnes/year.
Earlier this week, Formosa bought 110,000 tonnes of spot naphtha for delivery into Mailiao, Taiwan, in the first half of March, at a premium of $2-3/tonne (€1-2/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight).
“Spot demand is still healthy in Asia,” said a trader in Singapore.
