HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ammonia imports for 2010 were up 22% from 2009, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.
US 2010 ammonia imports rose by 22% to 6.74m tonnes from 5.50m tonnes in 2009.
Imports rose last year as a result of increased demand in ?xml:namespace>
Imports in December rose 59% to 611,830 tonnes from 384,505 tonnes in December 2009, the ITC said.
December imports also rose by 1.1% from 609,496 tonnes in November 2010.
