LyondellBasell shuts Texas cracker down after steam loss

HOUSTON (ICIS)--LyondellBasell has shut down its La Porte cracker in Texas after a loss of steam, the company said in a filing on Wednesday.

The 789,000 tonne/year cracker was shut down on 14 February, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

LyondellBasell did not say when the unit would be restarted.

A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
