Sohar industrial estate blocked; 6 killed in Oman protests – report

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Six people were killed in Oman on Sunday as police fired at protestors seeking political reform, Reuters reported on Monday, quoting a government hospital in the country.

Meanwhile, protestors were blocking the roads to Sohar industrial estate, which houses a refinery, Reuters said, quoting witnesses.

Oman Polypropylene's 340,000 tonne/year plant is located at the estate.
