SHANGHAI (ICIS)--Sinopec subsidiary, Qingdao Refining & Chemical, has taken its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant off line on 28 February for around seven days of maintenance, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

The output of the plant, located at Qingdao city in Shandong province, was mainly for the northern China market, industry sources said.

The shutdown would not have much of an impact on the market as there was sufficient supply, the sources added.
