SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sumitomo Chemical has been running its 150,000 tonne/year benzene plant at Chiba at 85-90% capacity since 11 March when pygas supply from its upstream cracker was reduced, a company source said on Tuesday.
Its pygas supply was cut after its 415,000 tonne/year naphtha upstream cracker at the same site reduced operating rates, the source said.
The source did not know when production at the benzene plant could be restored to full capacity.
