JAPAN DISASTER: JX Nippon on track to restart Kawasaki cracker

SINGAPORE (ICIS) – JX Nippon Oil & Energy is on track to restart its 460,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Kawasaki as expected on 27 March after it was taken off line following the 11 March earthquake, a company official said on Tuesday.

The official added that there was no significant impact on Asia’s ethylene spot market as the company does not export any product.
