SINGAPORE (ICIS)--National Petrochemical Industrial (NATPET) is planning to begin a 60-day turnaround at its petrochemical complex in Yanbu on 1 May, the Saudi Arabian producer said in a statement on Tuesday.
The complex houses a 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant, which produces various PP grades such as homopolymers, random and heterophasic copolymers, the company said.
“NATPET shall be conducting a full turnaround procedure for the two integrated production units [propylene and PP plants] to essentially enhance capacities and efficiencies of different units within the industrial complex,” said the company’s president and chief operating officer Jamal Malaikah in the statement.
