SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Lugang Group plans to start production of solar wafers in Suizhou, central Hubei province, in December of this year, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.
The company will invest yuan (CNY) 800m ($122m) at the facility.
The source declined to give the capacity of the solar wafer factory.
The feedstock will be supplied from its own 3,000 tonne/year polysilicon plant, which was started up last year at a cost of CNY1.3bn, the source added.
The company is located in Jiangsu province, east China.
