US ethanol stocks and daily output fall slightly

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol stocks fell slightly in the week ended 1 April along with a minor drop in daily production, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

Fuel ethanol stocks last week stood at 20.06m bbl, down by 0.1% from 20.09m bbl a week earlier, according to government data.

Meanwhile, US production of the biofuel reached an average of 902,000 bbl/day, also declining by 0.1% from 903,000 bbl/day in the previous week.

US ethanol output in March averaged 898,500 bbd/day, up by nearly 1% from 891,000 bbd/day in February.
