In October 2008, OAO Ammonia said it had started construction on the facilities.
The units would have capacities of 717,000 tonnes/year of ammonia, 720,000 tonnes/year of granulated urea, 380,000 tonnes/year of ammonium nitrate (AN) and 230,000 tonnes/year of methanol, the statement added.
In November 2010, OAO Ammonia selected Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Sojitz Corp and China National Chemical Engineering Co as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for the new facilities.
