LONDON (ICIS)--Styron has broken ground on its 50,000 tonne/year solution styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) production facility in ?xml:namespace>
The expansion, first announced in December 2010, takes into account the growing demand for high-performance tyres, which are produced with S-SBR, the company said in a statement.
The new production facility will be built alongside existing lines and is expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2012, Styron added.
