SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Teijin has resumed full production at its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film facility in Tochigi prefecture on Monday, the company said in a statement.

Production at the PET plant was disrupted following the earthquake and tsunami that hit northeast Japan on 11 March, the statement said. The company declined to comment on the capacity of the plant.

Teijin resumed partial production at the plant on 30 April.

“All Teijin group facilities nationwide are now operating on a normal basis,” the statement added.

The company’s PET plant in Tochigi is operated by DuPont Teijin Films, a global joint-venture partnership between Teijin Chemicals and US-based DuPont.
