HOUSTON (ICIS)--US styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) producer International Specialty Products (ISP) said on Tuesday that it had ended its force majeure at its plant in Port Arthur, Texas.

The company declared force majeure in May after it ran out of feedstock butadiene (BD), which remains in tight supply amid a plant turnaround by a major BD producer.

Inventory levels are low, but ISP is again selling to customers, the producer said.

“A week or two to build up supply would be nice, but we’re selling what we make right now,” the producer added.
