Japan’s Mitsui on track to shut MIBK plant in October

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals is on track to shut its 30,000 tonne/year methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) plant at Iwakuni, Yamaguchi prefecture, for a turnaround in early October, a company source said on Tuesday.
The schedule has been slightly adjusted and the plant is now slated to be off line from 8 October to 15 November, he said.
