China’s Yanshan Petrochemical shuts PP plant for 8-day turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical shut its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant on 22 July for an eight-day turnaround, a company source said on Monday.

The Beijing plant will be restarted at the end of July, the source said.

The turnaround may affect the prices of some PP-related products such as transparent PP which has a market price of around CNY 15,500/ tonne ($2,403/tonne), the source added.

Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical is a subsidiary of energy major Sinopec and mainly manufactures PP specialty products.
