SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhonghai Jing Xi Hua Gong plans to restart its 40,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant at Binghai city in Shandong province by the end of this week after an outage, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant was hit by lightning late last week, resulting in a power outage and the halting of operations at the plant.
The plant was shut over the weekend for maintenance, the source added.
The plant's total capacity will be raised to 72,000 tonnes/year when a new 32,000 tonne/year line, which is being built, comes on line by the end of this year. For more on epichlorohydrin, visit ICIS chemical intelligence
