Argentine grain consortium to build ethanol plant

BUENOS AIRES (ICIS)--ACA BIO Cooperativa Limitada plans to build a 125,000 cubic metre (cbm)/year ethanol in Argentina after receiving a quota of the same size from the Argentine government, an industry source said on Thursday.

The company belongs to the grain exporting consortium Asociacion de Cooperativas Argentinas (ACA), and it is building the plant in Villa Maria, Cordoba.

The plant should cost $80m (€56m), and production should start in the first months of 2013.
