SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) is planning shut its 3,000 tonne/month slackwax unit in Rayong from 1 November to 15 December as part of an annual turnaround, a company official said on Tuesday.

The shutdown is not expected to cause a significant impact on the market as it is a planned turnaround, the official added.

Slackwax is crude wax produced as a by-product from refining Group I base oils and is used as raw material in the manufacture of paraffin waxes.
