SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korean producer LG MMA expects to restart its 50,000 tonne/year No 2 methyl methacrylate (MMA) line at Yeosu on 1-2 September, a company source said on Friday.
The plant was shut for two weeks, starting on 16 August, for a catalyst replacement, he added.
The company originally scheduled to shut the line for two weeks in June, the source added.
The shutdown will have a limited impact on the domestic market, as end-user demand in Korea is weak, said market players.
LG MMA has three production lines at the Yeosu site that have a combined capacity of 176,000 tonnes/year.
