ExxonMobil reports flaring from Louisiana polyolefins plant

HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil reported flaring from its Baton Rouge polyolefins plant in Louisiana in a recorded message on its non-emergency operations hotline on Monday.
Flaring resulted from a minor equipment malfunction on the unit, the message said.
No other details were immediately available.
The plant has a capacity to produce 2.8bn lb/year (1.3m tonnes/year) of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP), according to information on ExxonMobil's website.
