SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Jiujiang has postponed a turnaround at its 100,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Jiangxi province to late October because of an unresolved equipment fault, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

This is the second time the company has postponed the shutdown.

The company originally scheduled the turnaround to start on 28 August, but delayed it to 20 September because of the equipment fault.

Sinopec Jiujiang produces biaxially oriented PP (BOPP) at the plant, which can also make yarn grade PP.
