SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical is planning to restart its 160,000 tonne/year phenol-acetone plant at Yanshan in mid-September, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The plant was taken off line on 20 August for scheduled maintenance, the source added.

The producer, which is a subsidiary of Chinese energy major Sinopec, operates a separate 100,000 tonne/year phenol-acetone plant at the same site that is currently running at full capacity, the source said.
