Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals to shut Singapore BPA plant on 22 September

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese producer Mitsui Chemicals is planning to shut its 230,000 tonne/year bisphenol A (BPA) plant in Singapore for annual maintenance in September, a company source said on Monday.

The company will shut the plant on 22 September for one month, the source said, adding that the plant is running at full capacity.

Mitsui Chemicals’ upstream phenol-acetone plant is scheduled for an annual turnaround from 22 September to 25 October, the source said.
