TIANJIN (ICIS)--China’s Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group plans to build two more propane dehydrogenation (PDH) units in Tianjin, a senior company official said on Thursday.
The company's first 600,000 tonne/year PDH unit is currently under construction at the same location and will start production in 2013, said company chairman Zhao Lizhi.
Its second PDH unit will also have a capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year, he said.
Zhao was speaking at the three-day China Petroleum & Chemical International Conference in Tianjin, which ends on Friday.
He did not reveal the capacity of the third PDH unit or the timeline for building the additional PDH plants.
