Poland's ZChP in fertilizer deal with Mekatrade Asia

LONDON (ICIS)--Zaklady Chemiczne Police (ZChP) has agreed a zlotych (Zl) 36m ($12m, €8.5m) deal to sell nitrogen phosphorus potassium (NPK) fertilizers to Singapore-based international trader Mekatrade Asia, the Polish company said on Thursday.

The agreed price would secure Mekatrade Asia 23,000 tonnes of fertilizer, which would be shipped to South America for distribution to various sale points, ZChP added.

In March, ZChP agreed to purchase Zl 17m worth of phosphate from the Geneva branch of Mekatrade Asia.

ZChP, Poland’s second-largest fertilizer producer, is majority-owned by Poland’s Zaklady Azoty Tarnow (ZAT) group.
