MOVES: Linde appoints Thomas Blades to executive board

LONDON (ICIS)--Linde has appointed Thomas Blades to its executive board, the Munich-based international industrial gases and chemical engineering firm said on Friday.

Blades joins Linde from Siemens, where he was CEO of the company’s oil and gas division.

At Linde, Blades will be the executive board member responsible for the group’s gases business in North and South America, as well as for the liquefied gases and cylinder gas business and global healthcare operations. He will assume his new role by 1 April 2012, “at the latest,” the company said.

Blades succeeds J Kent Masters, who stepped down from Linde’s executive board today (30 September), the company added.
