France's Technip wins contract for lubricant base stock facility

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Technip has won a contract for a grassroots lubricant base stock facility at ExxonMobil Chemical’s integrated complex in Baytown, the US, the French petrochemicals-engineering firm said on Wednesday.

The project, to be completed in 2013, includes a new synthetic base stock plant, consisting of the process unit, associated pipe rack and product tanks, as well as a pumping and firewater system, the company said in a statement.

Technip’s operating centre in Houston, Texas will execute the contract, the firm added.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
