Russia's Jan-Sep fertilizers output increases by 6% year on year

MOSCOW (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Russia’s overall production of fertilizers in the first nine months of 2011 increased by 6% year on year to 14.1m tonnes, Russian statistics agency Rosstat said on Wednesday.
Russian production of ammonia was up by 7% to 10.5m tonnes compared with the first nine months of 2010, the agency said.
The country’s total production of plastics for January to September 2011 was up by 8.1% year on year at 4m tonnes, according to Rosstat.
In the first nine months of 2011 synthetic rubber production rose by 7%, to 1.07m tonnes, and fibres and yarns output increased by 7%, to 104,000 tonnes, compared with the corresponding period of 2010, the agency said.
