LONDON (ICIS)--European October dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference prices increased on Friday by €20/tonne ($28/tonne) to €1,042–1,083/tonne, in line with upstream paraxylene (PX) and methanol, ICIS calculations showed.
The European October PX contract has settled at €1,210/tonne, up €20/tonne from the September contract price, two producers and two consumers said.
The fourth quarter European methanol contract price settled at €1,315/tonne FOB (free on board) Rotterdam, up €20/tonne from the third quarter.
The DMT prices were assessed on a FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe) basis.
