LONDON (ICIS)--Oman’s Salalah Methanol Company (SMC) will restart its 1.3m tonne/year nameplate capacity methanol plant at Salalah this weekend following an unplanned shutdown, a source close to the company said on Friday.
The plant, a joint venture between Oman Oil and Oman Energy Trading which started up in May last year, was shut down for unplanned maintenance on 13 October.
Feedstock for the production of methanol at the facility is natural gas, which is supplied by ?xml:namespace>
