HOUSTON (ICIS)--US butadiene (BD) production in September totalled 241m lb (109,316 tonnes), a 16% drop from 287m lb produced in the same month in 2010, Jacobs Consultancy said on Friday.
BD production in September also fell by nearly 17% compared with 290m lb produced in August, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
Measured on a daily rate, BD output last month fell by 14%, according to the report.
US crackers operated at 88.6% of capacity in September, down from 93.8% in August and from 93.9% in September 2010, the report showed.
