China’s Kailuan Energy Chemical to start adipic acid plant in 2012

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Kailuan Energy Chemical plans to start its 150,000 tonne/year adipic acid (ADA) plant at Tangshan in the northern province of Hebei next year, a company official said on Tuesday.
Exact dates were unavailable, the source said.
Hydrogenated benzene will be used as feedstock for the ADA plant.
Other ADA producers in China include Liaoyang Petrochemical and Shandong Haili.
