SINGAPORE (ICIS)--State-run Ethylene Malaysia Sdn Bhd (EMSB) is gradually increasing production at its 400,000 tonne/year ethane cracker at Kerteh in Terengganu after restarting the plant on 18 November, a source close to the company said on Monday.

He did not reveal the specific operating rate at the plant.

The cracker was taken off line in early November because of a power failure.

EMSB is a joint venture between Malaysia's state-owned PETRONAS, Japan's Idemitsu Kosan and petrochemicals major BP.
