DUBAI (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical will build a 1.5m tonne/year ethane cracker at its Cedar Bayou complex in Texas, the company announced on Wednesday.
“I am pleased to announce that we are filing the permits,” said Chevron Phillips chief executive Peter Cella said at the sixth annual GPCA (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association) conference.
Chevron Phillips announced plans to build the unit in March 2011 during the NPRA conference in San Antonio.
