DUBAI (ICIS)--Global logistics provider Agility has formed a joint venture with European dry bulk chemicals logistics company Schmidt Heilbronn, the companies said on Wednesday.
The venture will meet rising demand, particularly in the Middle East, for dry bulk solutions, Agility and Schmidt Heilbronn said in a statement issued during the Sixth Annual GPCA (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association) Forum.
Named SAMEL, the newly created joint venture company will focus on the ?xml:namespace>
The collaboration will provide customers with a complete package, from design and construction to supply chain management, operations and dry bulk transport, the partners said.
“We now have everything we need under one roof to meet customer needs across the Middle East and beyond – including tailored financing packages, turnkey construction and modern, reduced carbon footprint freight methods,” said Andrew Jackson, president and CEO of Agility Chemicals.
Agility has more than 22,000 employees across 100 countries with annual revenues of close to $6bn (€4.6bn).
