LONDON (ICIS)--Brenntag has acquired Amco Internacional, a specialty chemical distributor of aroma chemicals, essential oils and food ingredients, headquartered in ?xml:namespace>
The Germany-based chemicals distributor said the deal is part of a strategy to expand its flavours and fragrance business in
“The acquisition of Amco Internacional will strengthen Brenntag’s position with a sophisticated portfolio of specialty products and services in the region,” said Peter Staartjes, president of Brenntag Latin America.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Family-owned Amco Internacional generated sales of about $20.2m (€16.0m) in 2011, Brenntag said.
