BOGOTA (ICIS) – Brazilian industrial employment continued its decline in November after dropping in September and October, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), a government agency, said on Friday.

Industrial employment dropped by 0.1% in November after declining by 0.4% in September and 0.5% in October, the agency said.

Comparing with November 2010, the industrial employment showed a negative change of 0.5% year over year and the deepest fall since January 2010.

The annual rate, measured by the index accumulated in the last 12 months, recorded an expansion of 1.3% in November 2011.

The monthly survey of industrial employment and wages produces indicators on the behavior of employment and wages in industrial activities, according to IBGE.
