HOUSTON (ICIS)--US exports of polycarbonate (PC) in November were down 30.8% year on year, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.
Exports decreased to 20,227 tonnes in November from 29,227 tonnes in the same month of 2010, and from 35,391 tonnes in October 2011.
For the first 11 months of 2011 exports increased to 356,059 tonnes compared to 343,081 tonnes in the same period in 2010.
The top destinations for US PC in November were Mexico with 6,913 tonnes and China with 3,697 tonnes.
US Nov imports of PC were also down in November. The US received 3,419 tonnes in November compared to 4,194 tonnes in November 2010.
US producers of PC include Bayer, SABIC Innovative Plastics and Styron.
