HOUSTON (ICIS)--Argentina’s December chemical production was up by 5.3% compared with the same month of 2010, Argentina’s Statistics Institute (INDEC) said on Tuesday.
There were increases in production year on year in December for basic chemical products (5.8%), industrial gases (8.9%), pharmaceutical products (13.6%) and detergents, soaps and personal products (12.5%).
December production was down year on year for plastic raw materials and synthetic rubber (12.5%), agrochemicals (1.8%), rubber tyres (18.8%), plastic products (2.5%) and for plastic products and rubber tyres combined (5.6%).
INDEC does not provide tonnage figures for production.
