Taiwan’s Coating Chemical Industry plans PU unit in China

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Coating Chemical Industry plans to start up a new polyurethane (PU) project at Jiangyin in China’s Jiangsu province, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

The project will cost $50m (€38m) and construction work is expected to be completed this year, the source said, without giving details on when construction will be started.

The annual turnover of the project is expected to be yuan (CNY) 700m ($111m) after its start-up, the source added, but did not disclose the exact start-up date. 

Coating Chemical Industry develops and manufactures materials such as PU resins, polyester polyols and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
