China’s Wudi Xinyue to complete its third PO line in February

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Wudi Xinyue Chemical Co will start up its new 100,000 tonne/year propylene oxide (PO) line at Binzhou in Shandong province this month as planned, a company source said on Thursday.

“We have completed the construction of the 100,000 tonne/year PO unit and plan to bring it on stream at the end of February after power problems are solved,” the source said in Mandarin referring to the supporting electrical supply facility that was still not complete.

After the third line is brought on stream at the same location the company’s production capacity of PO will reach 300,000 tonnes/year.

Wudi Xinyue Chemical Co.,Ltd, a subsidiary company of Lubei Enterprise Group, also produces epichlorohydrin(ECH) and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).
