Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical MMA unit shut for turnaround

BRISBANE (ICIS)--Formosa Plastics Corp’s (FPC) acetone cyanohydrin-based 98,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) unit in Mailiao, Taiwan is currently shut for annual maintenance, with the restart slated in early March, a company source said on Friday.

The plant was shut this month and is "scheduled to remain off line for around 26-27 days”, said the source, without providing the exact shutdown date.
