HOUSTON (ICIS)--KBR was awarded a licensing and engineering contract for the Veba Combi Cracker (VCC) technology at the Nizhnikamsk refinery in the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia, the US-based firm said on Tuesday.
The TAIF Group complex will process 2.7m tonnes/year of refinery vacuum residues and 1.6m tonnes/year of distillates into petrochemical feedstocks and diesel fuel, KBR said.
Financial terms of the engineering contract were not disclosed.
