Germany's Brenntag inaugurates new head office in Mumbai, India

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Brenntag inaugurated its new head office in Mumbai, India, on 16 February, the German chemical distributor said on Friday.

The office will house technical application laboratories for the firm’s food and beverage, as well personal care units, the company said in a statement.

“India is a key market in Brenntag’s global strategy,” said Steven Holland, CEO of Brenntag.

“By expanding our local presence in major cities like Mumbai, we are supporting our strategy of being the leading chemical distributor in both specialty and industrial chemicals, Holland said.

Within India, Brenntag has existing offices and distribution facilities in the industrial locations of Baddi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon, Haridwar and Hyderabad.

“We already have a strong foothold in India and we expect to take advantage of the high growth potential in the Indian market,” Holland said.
