SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s TPT Petrochemicals, a subsidiary of Indorama Ventures, plans to shut its 540,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in Map Ta Phut on 26 February for maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The shutdown will last for three weeks, the source said.

TPT will have to reduce supply to its customers, although the source declined to comment on the volumes.

TPT Petrochemical, previously owned by Taiwan’s Tuntex Petrochemical, was acquired by Indorama in September 2010.
