PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil-based Braskem plans to transfer 14,000 tonnes of naphtha from a tank at its plant in Triunfo after heavy rain, the company said on Thursday.
Braskem should complete the process in three days, the company said.
The heavy rainfall had led to the cover of the naphtha tank becoming dislodged. This led to about 100 workers having to leave the site.
Braskem had also suspended work for administrative employees at the Basic Petrochemicals and Polymers unit, the company said.
The mishap did not cause industrial activities to stop.
